Powershot G10

Hope everyone has had a most wonderful holiday! I feel like I've been going since early December to get orders done for the holidays along with shopping and baking for the family. Now, it's taken a head cold to knock me off my feet long enough to get out an entry here! Guess it caught up with me! Home sick today. I could hardly wait to take the chance to share my newest toy with you all!!!
The new PowerShot G10 by Cannon - 14.7 megapixels - 3200 ISO. I've never had a camera so nice.
Here are some cool shots I've taken since Christmas. Enjoy!

Moose-wood

I may have gotten smoke in my eye, but it was totally worth it. I invested in the Creative Versa Woodburning Tool Kit to work on a order for a wooden sign. I figured instead of painting it, it'd be cooler to burn/carve into it. This moose was just done on the practice wood that they give you in the kit. I might start using this on my crates. If nothing else, I'll use it to sign my name on the bottom. That will totally up the retail value on them. ;-)

37th Street

Window number 2 is done for the Girl Scouts of America on 5th & 37th!
I love how the fireplace really stands out. So cozy. The mannequin gave me some trouble. She wouldn't sit down after I got her into her "I Love Girl Scout" pajamas, but I won. Everyone in the office seemed to really like them, so I'm happy!

38th Street

The first window for Girl Scouts of America is officially done! It took a total of 7 hours...prep time not included. The green snowflakes were a good touch. They really make the "Think Green" tee shirts on the Think Green Polar Bears pop out. The patches on the trees all relate to Going Green. My favorite is the Stop Global Warning patch featuring the Think Green Polar Bear. And the little Brownie Elves climbing the trees - pricless, right?
Tomorrow I tackle the Vintage Window on the other side of the building.

That little snowflake says: Window Design by Karen Gilmour. :)

Just like a Kangaroo...

I've got a pouch! Another new Back to School 2009 product for B&N with my "Tough Love" design on it! Complete with a see through front to avoid those nagging, "Now, where did I put my pencil?" questions.
I can't wait to see the collection of the items layed out together in Barnes & Noble stores nationwide!!! (Sorry, this is quite exciting for me!)

It's no Trapper Keeper.

The Back to School product is rolling in! This one hit my desk this morning. The Product Developer and myself decided to make up funny names for my designs.
This one is "Dotty McStarrson".
Sounds like someone who would live in your apartment building...you know, the one with a ton of plants in her windows and at least 7 cats?
Anyway, here's my binder!! Again, part of Barnes & Noble's Back to School 2009!

Happy Birthday to me!

Remember when giving out cupcakes on your birthday was the cool thing to do?
